Hubert cable-operated screen
Efficient removal of medium and large coarse debris.
Hubert's cable-operated screens carefully remove coarse debris from water intake systems. This powerful system is suitable for applications where continuity, precision and operational reliability are essential such as in power plants, drinking water systems and the (petro)chemical industry
Thanks to its robust design, it operates under harsh conditions, with minimal wear and tear and low maintenance requirements. We offer customised solutions for both new and existing intake systems.
Features
The Damran type cable-operated screen is a robust bar screen specially designed for removing medium to large amounts of coarse debris from water intakes. This can be at cooling water intakes, pumping stations or water treatment plants.
The cleaner operates on a cable-operated grab principle. A trolley with nylon wheels moves along guides in the channel. During downward movement, the grab is open. At the bottom, the grab closes, after which it removes accumulated dirt from the bottom upwards.
At the top, the dirt is automatically scraped off and discharged to a conveyor belt, concrete chute or container - depending on the installation and customer requirements.
Thanks to its design without moving parts below water level, the Damran is extremely reliable, even in long-term deployment and high currents.

Advantages
- No moving parts under water
- Low energy consumption
- Low maintenance costs
- Suitable for large water flows
- Flexible in design and materials
- Renovation possibilities - including third-party installations
- Effective dirt removal
