The Hubert microfilter is a robust and reliable microfilter with a mesh size of 50 microns. Specially developed as a pre-filtration stage in membrane filtration processes, it prevents fouling and significantly extends the service life of nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes.
Features
The microfilter removes fine particles from the effluent of biological treatment, drastically reducing the load on downstream membranes. Even at high turbidity, levels e.g. during sludge flushing, the microscreen delivers stable effluent quality, minimises peak loads and prevents clogging of sensitive filtration systems.
The fine filter can be used as a pre-filtration step in:
- Pilot and test rigs
- Nanofiltration or reverse osmosis
- Tertiary treatment of WWTP effluent
- Industrial wastewater treatment
- Water reuse systems
Tests on biological effluent show that:
- Pressure drop across the membrane is significantly reduced
- Cleaning frequency decreases from once every 2-3 days to once every 2 weeks
- Efficiency is maintained even at turbidity levels up to 60 NTU
