Efficient 50-micron pre-filtration - extends membrane life.
The Hubert microfilter is a robust and reliable microfilter with a mesh size of 50 microns. Specially developed as a pre-filtration step in membrane filtration processes, it prevents fouling and extends the life of nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes.
Features
The microfilter removes fine particles from the effluent of biological treatment, drastically reducing the load on underlying membranes. Even at high turbidity, e.g. during sludge flushing, the micro screen delivers stable effluent, minimises peak load and prevents clogging of sensitive filtration systems.
The fine filter can be used as a pre-filtration step in:
- Pilot and test rigs
- Nanofiltration or reverse osmosis
- Tertiary treatment of WWTP effluent
- Industrial wastewater treatment
- Reuse systems
Tests on biological effluent show that:
- Pressure drop across membrane is significantly reduced
- Cleaning frequency drops from once every 2-3 days to once every 2 weeks
- Efficiency is maintained also for turbidity up to 60 NTU
For maximum performance, the microscreen can be combined with:
