This water intake is a crucial part of the refinery\u2019s cooling water process, as it filters out unwanted particles from the intake water. The project involved the dismantling, complete overhaul and reinstallation of the drum filter. There, the system was completely overhauled. The drum, with impressive dimensions of approximately 10 metres in diameter and 4 metres in width, was completely dismantled, inspected and reassembled. Among other things, new screening elements were fitted, made from coated carbon steel in combination with AISI 316 stainless steel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the refurbishment, the drum screen was reinstalled in the plant, precisely aligned and made operational again for long-term use. The system is designed for a service life of at least 20 years and meets the refinery\u2019s high standards. In addition to the drum screen, Hubert also refurbished several travelling band screens as part of this project, ensuring that the entire cooling water intake system is once again fit for the
