Optimal screening of seawater intakes
Porthos, an initiative of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, Gasunie and EBN, is responsible for the capture, transport and storage of CO₂ in the Rotterdam port area. The captured CO₂ is transported via a pipeline to a compression station and then on to storage sites beneath the North Sea, where it is permanently stored in depleted gas fields.

What we delivered
Noardling supplied two Hubert travelling band screens for the cooling water pump house. This delivery also included four flushing pumps for the fish return system, which enable fish to be safely and effectively guided back to the harbour.
The travelling band screens were supplied as pre-assembled skid-mounted units, thereby minimising the installation work required on site. Hubert was responsible for the delivery, commissioning and testing of the screens on site in Rotterdam. In addition, an extra twelve-month maintenance period formed part of the contract.
